Curing Halitosis

Halitosis Cure

Bad Breath is an affliction that seldom generates sympathy even from love ones and close associates. Unlikely other ailments, the sufferer is usually chastised and shunned. I only wish I can go back in time and pass this information to Clark Gable when he was filming Gone With The Wind.

SPECIAL NOTES: To declare that a certain medicine is effective, it MUST meet this criterion – Found to be significantly more effective than placebo in a DOUBLE BLIND study staffed/funded by an UNBIASED organization. The "cure" that I am describing below has NOT met this criterion. Therefore, its efficacy must be deemed UNPROVEN.

The "cure" is a Chinese herbal medicine. It was published in an evening newspaper in Hong Kong. (Image: A hand copy of the original formula). I read about it and tried it when I was 15 years old. I recommended it to a West European woman when she was about 22 years old as well as to several Asian ESL students (aged 20 – 45 years) in 2003. Their bad breath has been completely eliminated. To date, the bad breath has not recurred in any one of them (or me). Please note that I do not have any training in Alternative Medicine. And, therefore, I do not know with certainty how, why or how well it works.

Sniffing Test:
– Breathe out into an 8-ounce measuring cup and sniff your exhaled breath.
– If it is not revolting, you do not have halitosis.
– If it is, repeat the test and memorize how strong the odour is.

The ingredients:
– Bamboo leaves (dried) – 15
– Roasted oyster shells (crushed) – 1 1/2 ounces
– Reed stem (dried) – 5 inches.
There are several varieties of bamboo leaves. The ones that are about 9 – 12 inches long is the kind of choice. These may be substituted with smaller leaves.
Roasted oyster shells (crushed) are in the form of a medley of a gray powder and small irregular pieces. If the product you are presented with is a white powder, that’s NOT suitable.
Reed stem is called "Lo Gun" in Cantonese ("Lo" is pronounced as "low" at a VERY low pitch). A dried stem of the common reed is hollow, straw colour and about 1/2 inch in diameter. The stems are usually sold as short pieces of 1 to 2 1/2 inches in length.
These ingredients can be purchased from any Chinese herbal store. Or, you can easily gather and dry or roast them yourself.

Methodology:
Boil the ingredients with 4 bowls of water until 1 bowl is left. Cool, strain and drink the concoction. It tastes like strong green tea with a little milk of magnesia mixed in it. Repeat the sniffing test the next morning. If there is no improvement, stop. If there is improvement but not complete elimination, prepare and drink another bowl. If it eliminates your bad breath completely, tell a friend about this article on Buzzle.com.

Tonsil Stones – How I Cured My Own Tonsil Stones And Bad Breath

My first experience with Tonsil Stones (Tonsilloliths) came at around the age of sixteen when I started to cough up these unusual looking cream-colored lumps. The only thing I knew about them at that time was the awful smell, which came from the stones when squashed between my fingers, apart from that I had no idea what they were or where they came from.

I felt too embarrassed to ask my doctor or dentist about them and never dared ask my parents or friends. They worried me at times and I often wondered whether others suffered from this problem or whether I was the only one in the world with this condition. It took me over twenty years before I eventually researched my problem and found out exactly what they were and where they came from. You may have had a similar experience and can relate to this in some way.

Bad Breath was also a problem at times, which I only became aware of by comments from friends and colleagues. After a while the penny drops and the realization sets in that you really do have a Bad Breath problem. Over the years you get to learn when the Bad Breath springs into life by the horrible dry metallic taste you get in your mouth and until very recently I never realized that Tonsil Stones and Bad Breath could be linked.

Within a very short period of time I had at last diagnosed my problem as Tonsil Stones, realized there are many others with this condition and was very surprised to find out my Bad Breath was probably also related to Tonsil Stones.

Knowing what my condition was, I thought it would be straightforward to find a treatment and get on with my life. But as with many things, this proved to be a lot more difficult than expected and I soon realized that finding a cure might not be that easy. I tried various recommended treatments by my doctor, dental hygienist and local herbal shop but these treatments at best, only masked my Bad Breath for a few hours and never helped to cure my Tonsil Stones.

What I really wanted was a permanent solution to my problem, which would last and make me feel more confident in everyday life.

After trying numerous remedies with inadequate success over quite a long period of time, I began researching a treatment, which seemed to be getting a lot of positive comments. A Doctor who specializes in oral care systems had created a product that was helping many suffers with Tonsil Stones and Bad Breath. Because I had already tried numerous things I was a little skeptical at first but eventually took the plunge and sent off for the Tonsil Stone Kit.

What can I say? Truly amazing is the only way to describe the results. My Bad Breath totally disappeared and my Tonsil Stones, although they did not disappear completely, did dramatically reduce in quantity to almost the point of extinction. Many people do completely cure their problem, but I am not complaining because I am perfectly happy with my result. It is the only product I have ever used that actually made a real difference for me.

Tonsilloliths – Rid of Tonsil Stones?

Tonsil Stones (Tonsilloliths) – How Can I Get Rid Of Tonsil Stones?

Tonsil Stones are small hard whitish/yellow lumps that form in our tonsils, which eventually dislodge and are coughed up or swallowed. They can be bothersome at times and are very often linked with bad breath problems. How can I get rid of Tonsil Stones? By following a recommended oral hygiene program these embarrassing problems can be vastly reduced or even eliminated for good.

How can I get rid of Tonsil Stones? Well firstly some refer to them as Tonsil Rocks and the medical term is Tonsilloliths.

For years people would go through life without ever knowing what Tonsil Stones were or what caused them. It is only since the advent of the Internet that sufferers have been able to find out and learn more about this condition without asking their Doctor or Dental Hygienist embarrassing questions, which they may not be able to answer anyway.

Tonsilloliths are small hard whitish/yellow lumps that form at the back of the throat within the crevices of your tonsils (tonsil crypts). They tend to vary in size from very small stones about the size of crumbs too much larger ones that can be the size of peas. For some they can have the feeling of a foreign object lodged at the side of the throat, which can be an uncomfortable and annoying occurrence until they finally work their way out and are either coughed up or swallowed.

They seem to occur more frequently in teenagers and adults than in younger children and often give a dry, metallic bad taste in the back of the mouth. It is quite common for sufferers to also experience chronic bad breath because sulfur-producing bacteria found at the back of the tongue, which is a major contributor in the formation of Tonsil Stones is also responsible for many bad breath problems.

If you have Tonsil Stones it does not mean there is anything wrong with you, it is just a very annoying hindrance that we could do without. In fact for most of us, apart from the stones being a bit uncomfortable the main problem is the bad breath that normally arises with this condition.

I have personally suffered with Tonsil Stones for years and until quite recently did not know what they were or where they came from. Mine are only small so I very rarely noticed them until I coughed them up. I have also suffered with chronic bad breath but never linked the two together until I researched into the possibility that they could be connected. Finding out that both problems were almost certainly connected, I set out to find a solution to my problem.

After extensive research I found a company committed to helping people with this problem. It really made sense and I began to actually understand why Tonsil Stones formed and what we can do about them. I tried the recommended products and had great success, but I must tell you that the treatment did not totally eliminate my tonsil stones. They were considerably less frequent now, but the biggest surprise for me was how it totally stopped my bad breath and made my mouth feel fresh all the time. It made me more confident and less embarrassed when talking to others, knowing that I no longer have a bad breath problem.

For those who have suffered in silence with Tonsil Stones and probably have done for quite some time, don’t give up because there is treatment available to help you. It certainly changed my life for the better and could do the same for you.

Stopping the Causes of Halitosis

Identifying and Eliminating the Causes of Halitosis

Halitosis or bad breath is a serious problem for people that suffer from it and those around them. Learn how to get rid of bad breath by taking out each cause one by one.

While most people may not be familiar with the term halitosis, it is safe to say that quite a few people suffer from the condition. For those that don’t know what it means, halitosis is the medical term for chronic bad breath. The causes of halitosis are many, which is what makes treating it so difficult. You can literally have ten people lined up with ten cases of halitosis and have ten different causes. Let’s take a closer look at three of the most common causes of halitosis and how you can treat them.

For many people, the best thing they can do for their halitosis is to simply carry a toothbrush with them everywhere they go so that they can brush their teeth after every meal. Of course, this can be a little embarrassing, brushing your teeth in your work restroom because you had to eat a sandwich at your desk, but this is the reality for thousands of people every day. Halitosis can be caused by specks of food being caught in your teeth after you eat. Since this happens after every meal, it can affect your breath and make it unpleasant. While brushing your teeth isn’t a catch-all, there are other solutions.

Some people have their halitosis traced to orders escaping their stomach after they eat. This is most common with spicy foods such as onions, garlic and similar foods. The gases made by your body when those spicy foods are digested waft up through your throat and escape out of your mouth when you breathe. There are products on the market now that you can swallow that will eliminate orders from your stomach so that your chronic halitosis is cured. They aren’t expensive, and your doctor can tell you which brand might be right for you.

Is Dry Mouth A Bad Medical Affliction

Just About Of Dry Mouth Or A Serious Medical Condition?

Read this, cure your bad breath forever.

Dry mouth is a condition that everyone has probably experienced at one point or another. Brought on either by psychological stress or by very physical activities, such as breathing in through your mouth at night when the sleeper’s sinuses are blocked due to a viral cold, making nose breathing not possible, the dryness that results is a breeding ground for bacteria that cannot thrive in the normally wet environment of a mouth that is awash in saliva. While the sinus blockage will eventually go away and your will once again breathe normally through your nose, and while the psychological stress will eventually pass, the kind of dry mouth that is brought on by the presence of gingivitis requires correction of a different kind.

As gingivitis progresses in your mouth, it will gradually affect the health of your gums, teeth and overall soft oral tissues. You may be tipped off to this condition when – in addition to a dry mouth – you also notice that your gums are unusually tender, you appear to have consistently bad breath, and your teeth may appear to loosen.

While a tenderness of the gums is quite common in response to the consumption of foods that may irritate the gums in some way, the prolonged tenderness that cannot be alleviated with the following:

Removal of the offending food stuffs
Avoidance of the irritating food items
Good oral hygiene

As you brush your teeth, check for swelling, redness and bleeding. If these indicators are present, you may very well be suffering from gingivitis. Healthy gums do not transmit pain or bleed, thus a visit to your dental professional is indicated.

Many an affected dental patient has attempted to self-correct the problem by increasing the frequency and vigor of tooth brushings, but this does more damage than good since gingivitis will need professional attention to remove the deposits of tartar around the gum line.

Similarly, those suffering from bad breath may find that they will attempt to do away with the problem simply by chewing gum or turning to breath-fresheners. But, these short term fixes may mask the problem for a short period of time without actually attacking the root cause: the bacteria growing, reproducing and causing extensive damage in and to the mouth.

Of course, the loosening of teeth is by far the most telling symptom that your oral health is extremely compromised, and the progression of gum disease has been continuing unfettered for such a prolonged period of time that gums and even both are already being affected. At this point in time a visit to your dentist must be of the utmost priority to halt the progression of the disease but also to correct and hopefully reverse the process. Once your dental professional is caring for the disease, you may wish to discuss the use of natural oral hygiene products since they eschew the use of alcohol that contributes to the drying of the oral tissues.

Basic Dental Procedure

Basic Dental Care

Are you embarrassed to smile in public? Is your social life suffering because of bad breath and lack of confidence? Find out how you can restore your lost smile and regain your social dignity by following some basic measures for all your dental problems.

Why Dental Care?

A bright and confident smile can work wonders to enhance your personal and social life. What can be better than a heartfelt smile to impress the person next to you and charm him or her with a fresh breath? However, not all of us are blessed with a naturally healthy and beautiful set of teeth and gums or fresh breath. Some basic dental care practices can, therefore, help you in securing the health of your teeth and gums forever, and smile your way to success and glory.
No matter how busy or hectic our lifestyle may be, we still begin our day with the age-old practice of brushing our teeth. The importance of this practice is related not only to cleanliness and basic hygiene factors but also to prevent oral problems turning into serious diseases. Thus, this practice comes to us as naturally as the necessity of having food, drinking water or taking a bath.

Aspects of Basic Dental Care

To start with, the primary aspects of your basic dental care program must include regular brushing and flossing. A mouth healthy diet and visits to your dentist at regular intervals can further guarantee your oral health.

Brushing

  • Make it a point to brush your teeth at least twice a day; once in the morning and once before you go to bed.
  • It is even better if you can brush after every meal or snack.
  • Make sure that you change your tooth brush every three to four months.
  • Always use brushes with soft bristles so that you do not harm your gums while brushing.
  • An ideal brushing process should consist of two to three minutes.
  • Use proper brushing technique while cleaning your teeth by placing the tooth brush against the gum line at 45 degree and rotating the brush at a slow circular motion.
  • Ensure that the bristles of your tooth brush reach in between the teeth spaces but do not hurt the gums.
  • Use a toothpaste that contains fluoride.
  • While brushing your teeth, clean your tongue in order to prevent spreading of bacteria and retain fresh breath.
  • Rinse your mouth thoroughly once brushing is complete and every time, after you have had food.

Flossing

  • Floss regularly to remove plaque and food particles stuck between your teeth.
  • Be gentle while flossing to avoid gum injury.
  • Ensure that the floss forms the shape of a ‘C’ while you are scraping the teeth.
  • Once an area of the floss has been used for a tooth or two, take the used floss around your fingers and use a cleaner area of the floss for the next tooth.

Diet

  • Eat lots of fresh fruits, green vegetables and drink plenty of water to maintain a balanced diet and cater to the essential nutrients required for your body. This would help you in having a naturally strong and healthy set of teeth and gums.
  • Avoid food with high sugar content as sugar aggravates teeth damage, plaque formation and the development of bacteria.
  • Use sugar-free gum, milk, yogurt to maintain healthy teeth and gums.
  • Avoid having food or snacks immediately before you go to sleep. If you do not brush your teeth before going to bed, the dried up food particles may lead to cavity and tooth decay.
  • Ensure that your mouth is always hydrated by the saliva in order to prevent bad breath. This may happen due to skipped meals, rigorous dieting routine or excessive alcohol consumption. Frequent consumption of vegetables with strong smell such as garlic or onion may also cause breath odor.

Visit your Dentist Regularly

  • A regular visit to your dentist at an interval of six months can keep you free of worries regarding your basic oral health. This, in turn, will help you save a lot of expenditure which might occur due to teeth and gum problems if you neglect them at the initial stages.
  • If you do not have much complain about your oral health, you may extend the period of your visit to the dentist to even once in a year. However, whether it is six months or a year, a periodical check up is essential.
  • Avoid experimenting with your dental health and consult a dentist immediately in case you suffer from swollen or bleeding gums, continuous teeth pain, excessive bad breath or any such extreme situation. Remember, without immediate action, any of these might result into severe health disorders.

Some Useful Tips

  • Avoid consuming excessive amount of tobacco and quit smoking in order to prevent stains on your teeth. Remember, nothing seems as elegant as white and shining teeth. Smoking and chewing tobacco may also cause bad breath and gum ulcers which might even lead to Cancer.
  • Use anti-bacterial mouth rinses or mouth fresheners to retain that fresh feeling all through the day.
  • Gum and teeth infections may lead to serious consequences including loss of teeth. Thus, educate yourself about the basic health and hygiene factors of your dental care with the help of your dentist and follow them regularly.

Conclusion

A little bit of care and consciousness can help you flaunt a graceful smile and a refreshing confidence. Small and simple measures, taken at the right time can, thus, show their impact on not only a rewarding social life but also on your everlasting oral health.

It Hurts!

It Hurts, It Hurts You Know!

It hurts, it hurts you know!
If people will tell that you have a bad breath.

It hurts, it hurts you know!
If people will tell that your teeth is yellowish.

It hurts, it hurts you know!
If people will tell that you have a bad smell.

It hurts, it hurts you know!
If people will tell that you’re an idiot.

It hurts, it hurts you know!
If someone you love, doesn’t love you.

It hurts, it hurts you know!
If you’re close friend will betray you.

It hurts, it hurts you know!
If your neighbors will back fight and mock at you.

It hurts, it hurts you know!
If your boss will fire you without legal basis.

It hurts, it hurts you know!
If there’s no one else will trust you.

To stop repeating it hurts, it hurts you know!
Starting today, encourage yourself to have a new life,
Evaluate as well as examine your being,
So you can be able to decipher the real cause of always saying…It hurts, it hurts you know!

Listen now to the counsel of the wise
What you do not want others to do to you, do not do to others, forgive injuries.
Forgive thy enemy, be reconciled to him, give him assistance, and invoke God in his behalf. For
that is the secret to have a good and peaceful life.

Always remember, none but one can harm you
None but yourself, who are your greatest foe,
He that respects himself is safe from others,
He wears a coat of mail that none can pierce.

Always bear in mind, that the best investment you can give to yourself is you!
You can make a lot of money, by investing in you than any other investment,
Therefore, feed your mind always with knowledge and wisdom,
For that is your only treasure as well as your shields in times of famine.

Above all, don’t and don’t ever forget to nurture your character
For your character are your only tools and weapons,
To protect and cover your reputation,
Against the mighty foe, the trap, and the honey words of the evil men.

Wish you many blessings to come and God Bless!

Chronic Halitosis Causes, Cure For Chronic Halitosis

Chronic halitosis is the medical term for recurring offensive or foul breath, the worsened state of bad breath. It has a number of causes and is sometimes a sign of some other more serious, potentially systemic illness, including uremia, liver failure, and diabetic ketoacidosis. It may be normal or physiologic and is generally found in a person’s morning breath.

There can be several causes of chronic halitosis. Halitosis is more commonly known as bad breath. It may be that you have felt self conscious and embarrassed when you notice your family and friends pulling away as you talk. You soon realise that it is because of your bad breath. It is often detected as you exhale. The bad odor may originate from the oral cavity (mouth) or some other part of the body

Another possible cause is bacteria that produce volatile sulfur compounds on the tongue which can occur either because your body produces too much naturally, or from a high protein diet. Another common cause of chronic halitosis is dry mouth. All the conditions mentioned above are breeding grounds for the bacteria that cause bad breath. But there are cures for chronic bad breath which we’ll get into later.

The fact that bad breath, or so-called halitosis, is often a persistent problem for those it afflicts, makes chronic halitosis treatment both a challenge and an opportunity for researchers and producers of bad breath remedies. In spite of the fact that we now know the immediate causes of most instances of bad breath, the underlying causes remain mysterious or are, themselves, difficult to resolve.

A lot of people suffer from chronic halitosis, or bad breath. In fact, as many as half the North American population suffers from it to some degree. Perhaps that is why the quality of our breath is something of a North American preoccupation. Almost everybody is conscious of their breath and will take steps to avoid breathing in someone else’s face if there is any chance their breath is going to smell bad.

Bad breath that continues for a long period of time is often referred to as chronic halitosis. It’s a condition that has been around for a very long time, but it is only in last century that we have started to may much attention to it, and only in the last decade that we have made any real progress in finding ways to deal with the problem.

The quickest and surest help for chronic halitosis is brushing and flossing along with cleaning your tongue. Many people tend to forget their tongue during their dental hygiene activities. Many new toothbrush designs are incorporating tongue cleaning tools, but it’s also okay to just brush your tongue. Separate tongue cleaners are also available. In a pinch, you can use the edge of a spoon.

Other than just having your best effort of oral care and regular visits to the dentists, you should also seek alternative cure for chronic halitosis as some remedies are able to get rid of the bad breath effectively. At the same time, you should have a well balanced diet and drink more plain water. Keeping your body healthy and hydrated is one of the ways to keep away from bad breath. You can also do more things to your bad breath like tongue brushing as tongue brushing can help to dislodge the bacteria found on your tongue.

Bad Breath Remedies – Overcoming Halitosis

The first and foremost remedy for bad breath is good oral hygiene. This means brushing after every meal, before bed and when you wake up in the morning. Brushing your teeth, gums and tongue thoroughly will prevent the anaerobic bacteria in your mouth from feeding on food particles that are left over. If you do not brush consistently after meals, your mouth will become a breeding ground for volatile sulfur compounds, which are the cause of bad breath.

Flossing is also an important bad breath remedy. This is because brushing may not be able to remove all of the particles of food that become lodged in between your teeth. If you let your mouth become highly acidic, you will be maintaining a breeding ground for bacteria. To remedy this, you can add a bit of baking soda to your toothbrush to neutralize some of the acids in your mouth.

Some foods are an effective bad breath remedy. Avocados and apple cider vinegar are both great ways of controlling bad breath. Avocados in the diet can improve digestion, as they clean your intestines. Because indigestion is a cause of bad breath, eating avocados can help to cure bad breath. They are most effective when eaten raw. Apple cider vinegar will also improve the digestive processes and help to remedy bad breath. Apple cider vinegar does the same thing that your stomach acid does–it helps you digest food.

If you have an insufficient amount of stomach acid, you may need to utilize apple cider vinegar to help with the rest of the process. You will know when your food is not broken down completely because bad tasting, foul smelling gases will be released from your stomach and will come out of your mouth. Taking some apple cider vinegar before and after a meal is an effective way to remedy bad breath.

Another bad breath remedy that is not widely known about is in the chemical chlorophyll. Chlorophyll can cleanse your body and treat various problems that you may have with digestion and your intestinal tract. Adding the right amounts of chlorophyll to your diet can help you to battle bad breath. Chlorophyll is simple to use and can be obtained in any pharmacy.
