Bad Breath Test – Top 10 Ways to Self Test For Bad Breath

Bad Breath occurs to most people at some stage of their life. Many people tell me they have morning bad breath. This is caused by our mouth drying out as we sleep as our body stops producing saliva when we sleep. This condition often gives us a horrid taste in our mouth as we wake and will smell awful to anyone near you. It also worsens as we get older because we produce less saliva so older people are much more likely to have bad breath all the time. This effect is amplified by most prescription drugs as they dry the mouth. Halitosis is self detectable by a foul taste in the mouth, often described as a metallic taste. We cannot smell our own breath or most of our other body odours as our olfactory (sense of smell) ignores our own smells so it can focus on the smells around us. This is probably a good thing as many of us may not like our own body odours! If you have morning bad breath you can easily find yourself with persistent bad breath.(all day bad breath) So it’s a good idea to rid yourself of morning bad breath and in turn prevent all day bad breath. I have left some websites that I trust and know there advice works so have a read of them.

One of the frustrating issues for bad breath sufferers is nobody will tell you about it because they fear it will offend you, thus making it all the more difficult for the sufferer to know if and how bad their breath is. So use the following to diagnose yourself. I note these same people have no problems talking about you bad breath when you’re not around.

OK  test your own bad breath by using the following self tests

1 Due to the fact saliva holds bad breath smells try this regularly, lick the back of your wrist, let it dry for 2 minutes, and then sniff the area after a few moments. If you notice a bad smell, you can times it by 10 and that’s what you smell like to others.

2 Another method that’s worked as a useful bad breath test: Use a teaspoon or better still a tongue scraper. Scrape the very back your tongue wait a moment then smell the spoon, if it smells bad you have bad breath.

3 When you floss your teeth do you notice a bad smell? If so see your dentist and have all your teeth checked for cavities and cleaned. Make sure your dentist gets it right first time as dentist are well known for generating return visits.

4 There is no question the most efficient and most awkward way is to just ask someone you feel close to. This should be a person you trust and who cares about you.

5 Whenever you’re near someone focus on their body language: do they rub their noses, do they back away from you, do they cough, do they offer you mints? Two or more of these signals can be interpreted to show you have bad or chronic halitosis.

6 Medications can often cause bad breath. Be very careful with medications as they can dry your mouth and cause chronic bad breath from day one. Ask your doctor if your medications can be substituted with exercise or other remedies.

7 Ongoing dry mouth is a serious condition. Stop it with sugar free gum and drinking 2 litres of water per day. Curiously drinking water often gets ignored despite it being the best treatment for halitosis. Do not fall into that trap!

8 Stress can cause instant dry mouth and dry mouth causes bad breath. Avoid stress when possible. Get the things that cause stress out of your life. For the stress you have to endure make sure you have your sugar free gum and water bottle with you. It may sound silly but consider yoga as it’s a proven stress killer.

9 Inadequate oral hygiene is an open invitation to halitosis, make sure you floss first then using only a soft bristle tooth brush your tongue then clean each tooth then scrape your tongue clean.

10 Food that help bad breath are dairy especially cheese, all meats especially red meat. So avoid these foods and don’t even touch cheese.

If you’ve failed 3 or more of these test it indicates chronic bad breath or halitosis visit OralTech Labs as I continue to receive excellent feedback from people using OralTech Labs advice and it shows the best oral health outcomes. Try to make an effort to get on top of it today and not in 20 years time after all your friends and family have abandoned you.

I Need to Find a Bad Breath Solution Fast

I Need to Find a Bad Breath Solution Fast

Don’t you just hate bad breath? The only thing worse than coming face-to-face with halitosis is realizing that you have bad breath yourself. Bad breath (the technical term for it is halitosis) is a problem that everyone deals with at some point in their lives. Many people rely on mints and breath sprays as standard halitosis remedies, but unfortunately these provide only a temporary bad breath solution. There may be a temporary improvement in your halitosis, but once you stop the treatment, halitosis returns. Are there any bad breath remedies that can provide a fast, but long-lasting halitosis solution?

To understand why some bad breath remedies only work for a short time, we need to take a closer look at what actually causes halitosis. There are two types of halitosis, or bad breath. Transient halitosis only last for a short time and is usually caused by something you ate, like garlic or onion. Chronic bad breath is more difficult and frustrating to deal with. It may have no connection with anything you’ve eaten.

The number one cause of chronic halitosis is the build up of bacteria in your mouth, primarily on your tongue or between your teeth. Your tongue actually provides an excellent environment for the build up and growth of bacteria because it has a rough surface. Plus, just think about it–your mouth is warm, usually moist, and regularly has food sources passing through it. That pretty much makes it the perfect location of the fast development and growth of bacteria. The problem is, bacteria smells bad. To find a long-lasting halitosis solution, you need to find something that will help control the bacteria in your mouth. Bad breath remedies that don’t kill bacteria just won’t do the job.

The most effective halitosis solution is good oral hygiene. Essentially, this means you should brush your teeth and floss between them after every meal. For most people, this means three times a day. When plaque builds up between your teeth, it provides little pockets that are perfect for the growth of odor-causing bacteria. It also provides a handy surface for food particles to latch onto. If these little bits of food aren’t regularly cleaned away, they will start to decay and contribute to bad breath. That’s why regular brushing and flossing are essential halitosis remedies.

Another vitally important part of a fast bad breath solution is to clean your tongue every time you brush your teeth. You can use a tongue scraper specifically made for cleaning your tongue. Or you can also use the edge of a spoon to safely scrape the bacterial build-up from your tongue. Most new toothbrush designs have started to incorporate a tongue cleaning surface on the toothbrush itself. You can also brush your tongue with the normal part of a toothbrush.

If your oral hygiene hasn’t been so great for a while, then your best bet for a fast halitosis solution is a visit the dentist. A professional cleaning will give you a good jump start on cleaning out the plaque, bacteria and accumulated food particles from your mouth. A dentist can also give you some good professional advice on keeping your teeth clean, keeping your mouth fresh, and keeping bad breath away. You dental health professional may also prescribe the use of antibacterial mouthwash. This type of mouthwash can provide an excellent halitosis solution fast, but be careful not to use it longer than the dentist prescribes. There are actually good bacteria in your mouth that you need to help preserve.

Bad breath is something that all of us have had to deal with at some time or other. It’s simply part of being human. Mints, lozenges and other short-term halitosis remedies may provide immediate improvement, but a long-term bad breath solution is going to take a little extra work. For the fastest halitosis solution, make an appointment with your dentist. Get your dentist to provide recommendations for good oral hygiene and follow his instructions. At least that will keep you from dealing with bad breath from that person in the mirror.

One of the few bad breath remedies that has been shown to work over the long term are those containing the active ingredient Oxyd-VIII. This bad breath solution is very popular and effective. Visit http://www.badbreath-halitosis.info for more information.

Only anxiety and doubt that is where thought little upset, “is the breath?” may be enough in day to anyone for failure. But let’s face it. Yes, everyone can have bad breath at least occasionally and some have less of a problem than a normal bad breath solution just will not solve your problem.

So what causes bad breath?

Typically, halitosis or bad breath results from the action of bacteria in the mouth, mainly on the tongue – and often in difficult to reach places, and in and around the teeth. As these bacteria devour food particles and plaque found in the release sulfur compounds that cause bad odors. However, this may be only part of what is happening and not all odors from the mouth can be the result of bacterial action. An appropriate solution bad breath really depends on accurately identifying what might be contributing to the problem so let’s see some other typical questions about the causes of bad breath.

Can bad breath be caused by certain foods?

Of course. The food is probably the largest source of bad breath bacteria. Most notable are onions and garlic have a strong odor molecules can remain in our system, and then reach the lungs when breathing starts to stink the locale. Moreover, since there is a class relation between acid reflux and halitosis, avoiding fatty foods, caffeine and, unfortunately, chocolate, which could cause acid reflux may end up as part of the solution of bad breath.

How does smoking affect breathing?

It will affect more about how your breath smells. Ignoring the fact that many of us find the stench of stale smoke disgusting snuff, smoking dries out your mouth which reduces the amount of saliva. The saliva, which we do not have, would have acted as a kind of natural mouthwash to kill bacteria and their waste products of his mouth. If you are a smoker, you probably really will not believe how bad it can smell others smoking may suppress their sense of taste and smell.

Is it possible that bad breath to begin in the stomach?

In fact, this can happen. A digestive condition called halitosis can be caused by the continuous operation of the digestive enzymes. If there is no food for work, the enzymes will start to make the lining of the stomach that may create an unpleasant smell like rotten food that comes in the breath. It’s usually pretty simple to get rid of digestive halitosis, as it stops once put some food in your stomach so they can work.

?
Heartburn or acid reflux is the backward flow of stomach acid into the esophagus. Apart from being very unpleasant, which can provide more food for bacteria in the mouth, along with some unpleasant odor molecules in the stomach. This is an indirect, but bad breath is one more reason to settle the heartburn.

The most basic remedy in most cases, means getting rid of the odor-causing bacteria in the mouth. Therefore, the simplest solution to bad breath is to maintain good oral hygiene. Flossing is necessary because it helps to reduce both plaque and food particles trapped between teeth or the gum line. Brushing helps this process. Tongue cleaning is particularly important. Since brushing can be uncomfortable and can not be fully effective if done carefully with a very soft brush, you can find a tongue scraper is a good alternative. Cavities or abscesses may also contribute to bad breath as well as being painful and cause tooth loss. Seeing your dentist regularly is part of good oral hygiene.

Some basic home remedies to treat bad breath can also be used to reduce the effects of foods such as onions and garlic. Chewing parsley or green basil and other communications of chlorophyll, which is a deodorant. Citrus not only stimulate saliva – our built-in natural mouthwash – but its acidity eliminates most oral bacteria. And out of his mouth with a fresh tangy aroma.
